The Liberty SPAC-457 Pump is an assembled sump pump kit, which includes a Liberty 457 1/2HP sump pump and a molded pump platform to secure the pump and reduce jamming from debris. This Liberty sump pump kit is also equipped with two 4" inlet hubs with rubber grommet seals and can handle solids up to 3/8".

Pre-assembled with 1-1/2" schedule 40 PVC discharge pipe
Molded pump support platform raises pump off bottom of pit and helps secure pump during shipping

What I was hoping it would be
I wasn't sure which pump or pump kit to get since this is my first but after weeks of investigating I decided to go with Liberty 237 sump pump kit. I just recently installed the kit. It appears to have the quality I was hoping for. The sump basin is solid and installed easily. The aluminum bodied pump is built solid and makes very little noise when running. The float is free moving and is out of the way. I would recommend the kit since it provides you with everything you need for the basic installation. The only unknown is what will the longevity of the pump be. Only time will tell. I ordered the pump kit online from Pexsupply.com. They offered one of the better prices for the pump kit I could find for a company that had it in stock. I received the kit at my home a few days after I orderd it. I was surprised it came with everything packed in the sump basin and the basin was wrapped with heavy plastic wrap but everything was in order and nothing was broken.

First off, the unit was damaged on arrival. The plastic fitting holding the discharge pipe into the pump was broke. After fixing that it became apparent that the pump is not attached to the basin - it just sits on a plastic base. This is a poor design as it tends to move around if you tip the basin while installing it. Finally - it is advertised as an outdoor unit - for yards. The paperwork that comes with it says that it is not for outdoor use.

I would buy this product again.
The product was exactly what I wanted. However, the shipping container was grossly inadequate. Everything had become loose and dislodged. Once I took the unit apart, figured out where everything went and reassembled it, the installation went great. This inconvenience somewhat diminishes the value of purchasing a pre-assembled unit.

Great customer service!
The seller was great! Upon receiving the Sump Kit, which was not properly handled by UPS, (pipe had cracked), I called customer service and they were able to promptly send a replacement. We got the replacement in and all set up and it works perfectly. I am attaching a picture of what we did. Our bathtub plumbing was just an open ended pipe buried in the dirt. We could not hook to our other plumbing due to the existing drain line being lower then the other system.

Great product. Basin is well built. Very solid pump.
Using this in tandem with another basin/pump combination to move runoff water across a very flat area with no drainage slope. Basin depth is perfect for where we are using it.

Great product and I would highly recommend it.
We live in an older home. The kitchen drain had to go up hill slightly to get to the septic tank. This pump system has helped my drain, drain away quickly. I do not have any standing water, sitting in my sink. It was easy to install. It has exceeded my expectations.
