The redesigned Little Giant Pit+Plus basin features a separate pump and ECM (External Control Module) switch access cover for easy service and installation. The innovative sewage package also incorporates molded-in discharge and vent ports, allowing access to the pump or switch independently without disrupting the plumbing connections - saving time, money and mess.
The ECM uses a 'bell' inside the basin to monitor liquid level for operation of a switch outside the basin (in the cover) and isolated from liquid. This reduces any chance of water intrusion, which can result in switch failure. No moving switch parts inside the basin eliminates failure from 'hang-ups'.

Q: For basement installation (new construction), what is the minimum distance (in inches) between the poured concrete slab and the top edge of the basin? ALSO-- How many gallons (min and max) accumulate in the basin between pumping cycles?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe most common way this is done is that most people pour the concrete directly against the rim of the Pit Plus. It isn't mandatory from the manufacturer to do this, but definitely check local codes for requirements. The pump will pump out around 15 gallons each cycle.
