You had it!
I had this pump for over 10 years with limited use and it eventually quit. I was looking all over, except online, for this particular pump, but no store I checked carried it. It's been perfect for de-scaling my water heater, and for a small fountain in the back yard. Apparently the life-span for these particular pumps is 3-5 years of continuous use. Not all that bad for the price.

Great Company, Best pricing on the pump.
This pump is for a small goldfish pond in our yard. They last about three years running continuously. This is the first one I bought from Supply House. Better pricing than anyone else and significantly faster shipping. I highly recommend Supply House for all your heating and plumbing needs.

Very reliable pump
I use the Little Giant direct drive pumps in fountains and ponds. The direct drive design means reliable startups and minimal drop in water flow over the life of the pump. Magnetic drive pumps lose flow rate as they age and can be a hassle when turned on and off. Direct drive systems power on every time and provide the flow you are expecting. Another great aspect of the direct drive pump is the consistent flow at elevated head heights. Where a mag drive pump loses steam with increased head heights a direct drive pump is not nearly as affected by the increased back pressure against the impeller. If you have a longer run or a substantial head height a direct drive pump is the way to go.
