In all honesty, I purchased 2 of these pumps for a "dissappearing fountain", one for each pillar rock, from another retailer. One pump failed within 6 months, the other was still working. I bought 2 now to replace them using the existing functioning pump as a back up. Time will tell if the failed pump was a fluke or ?? While they are working, they are great with just the right amount of pressure for the rock pillars.
