Poor design
I bought about 30 of these for a school to prevent students from accessing thermostats. the design is poor. its not a strong lock and it easily cracks. some even cracked during installation. and some of the others were easily cracked by students trying to access the thermostats. its also very deep and just out from the wall a lot. I would not recommend this if your trying to lock thermostats.

Works great! I used them to cover round thermostats. Just be careful not to over tighten the screws because you could crack the case.

Stop all that Thermostat Fuss
Everytime I turned around somebody was "adjusting" the thermostat, I'm hot I'm cold, finally I got my thermostat cover, set the temperature to what I was comfortable with, and locked it up. No problems anymore and the air conditioner id turning on and off..
