A leaf spring controlled stop automatically adjusts to setup staple and guide it through the fastening mechanism without risk of jamming or deforming staple. Significant Time Saver
Well worth the purchase price for a DIY radiant heat installation. As a first-time DIY project, I ended up installing ~3,000 feet of 1/2" PEX in about 8-hours.
I HIGHLY recommend doing this as a 2-person job. I installed the first 1,500 feet in 6-hours on my own, then had some help and finished the last half in just over 2-hours.
With an assistant rolling out the tube ahead of you, following behind and stapling the tube is pretty easy and straightforward.
I had some issues with misfires and jamming early on, but things got smoother and smoother as the job progressed. I think holding the stapler upright, and keeping it as full of staples is possible are the keys to reducing jams. It's also possible to insert staples manually after they've jammed.

what else are you going to use?
Used the stapler to install my 1/2 inch tubing under my new slab. The stapler works marginally better than using your hands with individual staples. Constantly jambing is its only problem but its a big one. Other than constantly jambing the stapler works as intended. I read online that when the staples get low it will jamb, apparently we have the ONE that seems to jamb at any staple level. Frankly if i didnt have a bum knee i would have switched to doing my 900 feet of tubing by hand. Very frustrating!

Worked Very Well
This is by far the best stapler that I have used since staples arrived as a method of fastening down pex tubing.Just put down 1500 ft in a 30 x 40 garage and had literally 3 jams.I think it is the combination of the stapler itself and the Malco staples, which are very strong.5 stars for sure!

Malco Stapler and staples were a great team.
The Malco Foamboard Stapler and Malco Staples worked great together. I had no issues with jams. I laid down about 5500' of tubing with very minimal issues.

Works well once you figure out the trick to using it
When loaded with staples do not store this completely vertical or a staple will fall down into the chamber and your next punch will jam. You can set the gun to be angled in a tilted position so the chamber is not loaded when not in use. Otherwise it worked well after I figured that out.

Makes securing radiant tubing to foam extremely quick and easy. If you are doing more than one project on foam board its definitely worth the purchase

Jam free after five boxes of 2 1/2" staples, such a beast!
Went through over five boxes of 2 1/2" staples jam free. Wifey poo used it as well when I was laying down the hePEX. No worries for her, either. Highly recommend this tool if you're gonna do a ton of foamboard stapling, it's a beast!

The FBSN and the staples worked fabulous. I had a few jams that cleared easily and were more about hesitation or operator failure than any tool problems. I installed 750 square feet in an hour and a half with the help of a neighbor who walked out the tubing ahead of me.
