Yes it will.
I can't speak to it passing the existing low pressure since I coordinated for the gas company on the same day. Regarding the utility company, most meters only have to have a spring replacement for 2PSI. My meter was not replaced.. The spring swap took 3 minutes, max. My inside pipe work was not 100% complete prior to the spring swap, so the gas was turned off at the meter pending the completion of the inside work. Johnny S. Slane (Shane)
Yes, you can install it with the low pressure. It will flow.
Yes it will pass the low pressure in and out. I did the same thing, installed the regulator prior to the gas company increasing pressure to 2 psi. No problems.
The 325-5AL can be installed in multiple positions unless it has a vent limiter installed on it. Then it is a horizontal position only. If needing a vent limiter for you installation. Make sure it is included with the regulator, you might have to order it separately.
Yes, it has to be installed horizontally because it has a vent limiter. Outdoor installation without a vent limiter can be any position.
Does not require outside vent with a vent limiter installed like the one in this picture has.
No, it does not require an outside vent. It does reguire the vent restrictor plug which in case of a diaphram rupture restricts the flow of gas escaping.
The information provided me does not indicate what model regulator is being asked about. I suspect it is a Maxitrol 325 which can be fitted with a "leak limiter" rather than venting outside.
