The right product, right on time
My whole-house generator failed to start on it's weekly diagnostic check. A hurricane was approaching our area on the Outer Banks of NC. I self diagnosed the propane regulator as I thought it may contribute to my problem. I found that my regulator provided by my propane supplier was equipped with a safety type vent which is not recommended for use in outdoor installations as mine is. I ordered this vent to replace the wrong one and installed it. I found that the original regulator vent was completely plugged and could not act as a vent as required. I restarted my generator engine and it performed as designed.
The vent arrived very quickly before the recent hurricane made the shore. SupplyHouse (SH) has a large inventory of replacement parts and delivers their products quickly. I would recommend SH as a first choice source of products.
