No, you would need the M18 tool.
The complete kit with tool, batteries, charger, and heads is part 2432-22.
Yeah, I bought it without knowing that. You can get a cheap M12 tool at the local home improvement that comes with the battery and charger.
Don't understand question. However, if project is of any significance in size, i.e., replacing galvanized pipe with pex tubing, the battery powered is the only way to go. The total job may end up costing as much as hiring a plumber BUT you end up with a useful tool for future repairs. The manual expansion tool is really not adequate, especially for 1" expansions and in tight places where it is difficult to get the leverage needed and rotation of the head. I purchased the manual tool first and it became quickly apparent that I could not do job with it. I sold the manual and purchased the battery tool. I am not a professional plumber but replaced approximately 400 ft of rusting galvanized pipe with pex...including 1", 3/4" and 1/2" sizes. I don't recommend tool only from an economic point unless you already have the expansion heads that automatically rotate.
This ProPEX expansion tool works only with PEX-A tubing. It expands the tubing and a ring that you place on the PEX. PEX-A has such exceptional shape recognition that the tubing shrinks back to size around a ProPEX fitting that you must quickly insert into the tubing. A major advantage to using this method is that the fitting has the same inside diameter as the tubing, and you won't lose any flow. The video linked below demonstrates exactly how it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0UuNxhHWh8
This product is only the tool. It does not include heads, batteries, or chargers.
It all depends, did you buy it tool only or the complete set with heads. If you bought it tool only as I did, it is just the tool, no heads, charger or battery
This is only the tool. It does not include heads, batteries, or chargers.
Yes, but the heads will not rotate.
