Adapter fits perfectly and made switching from standard Moen shower trim to the Moentrol shower trim.

Works well but DOES NOT WORK WITH Posi-Temp trim
This trim adapter kit works when going from an old style Moen (Chateau) plain Jane valve that uses the 1225 cartridge to a Moentrol trim kit. It does not work with a Posi-Temp trim kit. Sadly, the Moentrol trims are now stupid expensive (2025) as they either don't make many anymore or they simply don't make them at all.

Only because there is no other choice
I purchased three of these, the center hole was too small (1 3/16) to accept the new escutcheon (1 5/16) and the holes for the new trim were off slightly. Since they are made of brass I was able to modify them to fit, it took some time and work that I should not have had to do.
