2" IPS PVC Clear True Union Spring Check Valve (Socket)

I replaced "swing" style check valves with "spring" style check valves because I was told they sealed better to prevent backflow. That is probably true. However, the mechanism inside a "swing" valve only allows pressurized water to flow around its outer edge whereas a "swing" valve allows water to flow through its entire center body. As such, a "swing" valve is less likely to get clogged with debris than a "spring" valve when they close to prevent backflow. I've experienced some problem with the "spring" valves sealing adequately when closed, due to small debris in my pool water. Hopefully, a good filter cleaning will eliminate the debris in my pool water and the "spring" valves will properly seal preventing unwanted backflow. Bottom line, "spring" check valves offer a more positive seal than "swing" check valves if your pool water is perfectly clean, but are more sensitive to debris than "swing" check valves.

I bought this product to replace 20 year old parts that were starting to leak. This was an exact replacement and I was able to reuse the old connections so I didn't have to do any plumbing. They fit perfectly with no leaks (I was sure to use the new o-rings). Also, Supply House prices were significantly cheaper than other competitors online. Delivery was quick and efficient. I did have a problem with one of the check valves that I purchased. Even though apparently new, it was defective. I was impressed with the general demeanor of your customer service rep, Samuel, and how easy he made the entire return and replacement process. His positive handling of this matter makes me quite comfortable in dealing with Supply House for future purchases.

My old check valves were cracking due to 16 years of UV rays and the o-rings were also bad and they were starting to leak and under pressure of the spa a new waterfall started! These were an exact solid replacement and the solid PVC unions were much nicer than the original clear plastic ones. I was able to salvage the pipe by using heat gun and breaking away old unions and these fit perfectly back in place for another 16 years or more!

I had a 15 year old valve go bad on my pool solar system. This was a perfect fit and easy fix. I replaced both valves in the system.

Our check valve went out and I ordered a replacement valved and it was easy to order and delivered on time! Thank you!
