Must be securely installed
I initially installed this in a 6-foot run of pipe that was only secured at the ends of the 6-foot run. When it was under 60 PSI of pressure, I bumped the check valve with a medium force and the union broke free of the threads, leaking water. I re-secured the pipe much closer to the unions and it fixed the problem. It appears that the union threads are too shallow.
