Oatey No. 5 Lead Free Paste Flux cleans and fluxes most commonly soldered metals including copper, brass, zinc, galvanized iron, lead and tin or copper-coated metals. Fluxing is a critical step in the soldering process. No. 5 Paste Flux provides superior wetting properties for better solder flow and can be used with most soft solders. No. 5 Paste Flux complies with CA & VT lead content regulations.

Don't buy this ever
Just started using it, three soldered lead-free valves in a row using 95/5 had leaks. Pulled them and saw the solder either did not draw or did not stick. Been at this trade 40 years and the first time I ever had this issue.

Excellent General Soldering Flux
Provides for a very good solder joint. Withstands the higher heat needed for some lead free solder alloys. Does not burn off. I use the "tinning" version of this flux for marginally clean old tubing in a repair situation. Aids solder flow.
