Great for sealing doors
I had to re-seal my back door. Water was intruding on the bottom side of my door. I pulled away the water damaged material, replaced it and then used this clear silicone to seal it.
We just got rain last weekend and it's bone dry! Great stuff!
Application: The tube fits a normal caulk gun. I recommend cutting the tip at an angle - I cut a "V" notch at the point to help channel the silicone - it helps with smoothing it out. I use my finger for smoothing vs a tool. Seems to work well for me.
Note that silicone does not work like caulk when applying. It's sticky and if you have only used caulk, you'll find this stuff is different. Just be patient and keep your finger/tool moving to make a smooth surface. You'll feel it skin over - a this point, don't touch it. It'll dry pretty quickly plus silicone sticks to most materials.
