Junk, go ahead and braze
Used 6 of these on a multi split to go to flexible connections, all six failed within 6 months of each other at 4 years. All were 3/8 or 1/4. Wasted time and money, and no have new drywall with holes in it. All failed due to cracking on a hard plastic piece inside, thus allowing too much movement of the o-rings. Plastic part looked like it was degraded due to not being compatible with oil or refrigerant (obviously a poor choice of plastic for HVACR).
