The Peerless® Partner® indirect-fired water heater provides a true advancement in hot water generation. By utilizing the existing boiler as its heat source, the burner fires only when necessary and transfers heat energy through a highly efficient cupronickel, fin-tube heat exchanger. The heater functions as a separate heating zone and water movement is regulated from the boiler through the heater coil by a separate circulator or zone valve.
The modern coil design of the Peerless Partner indirect-fired water heater provides maximum heat transfer efficiency and resists mineral buildup that discolors water. Old style coils can produce discolored tapwater that affects taste and leaves blue bathtub rings. The heater's cupronickel heat exchanger is highly resistant to any scaling deposits and is positioned so entering water provides scrubbing action, eliminating the need for chemical cleanings.
The Peerless® Partner® Lo-Boy indirect-fired water heater has a low profile (23.25"L x 23.25"W x 28.5"H) and is ideal for space-limited installations.

No surprises here....
New water heater is a welcome replacement to the old leaky, rusty 12 year old it replaced. Having the thermostat on top is a nice touch. I expect this stainless steel heater to last far longer than my original type.

Q: What's the difference between the Peerless Partner PT and PP water heaters. The PT appears to be a tank in tank design--are both tanks made of stainless steel, or just the inner tank. If the outer tank is not s/s, what kind of corrosion protection does it have?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffBoth the PP and the PT units are stainless steel tanks. The PP series has a stainless steel coil, while the PT as you have mentioned is a tank in tank design. The PT series has a lower pressure drop, which would help in systems where a larger pump is not a feasible option. The PP series is capable of greater output, and is also available in double wall configurations for regions where this is required by code.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIndirect water heaters do not have efficiency ratings. They are only as efficient as the boiler that heats the water they hold.

Q: Do I need a circulator pump on the domestic hot water coming out of the peerless 30 gallon indirect heater ? Do I need an exspaion tank on a 30 gallon peerless lo boy indirect ? Thanks

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYes, you do need a circulator pump, but you do not need an expansion tank specifically for the indirect water heater unless it's required by code.
