This cartridge is compatible with the following filter housings:
- Highly effective at reducing unwanted bad taste and odor, and chlorine taste & odor, from potable drinking water
- Ideal choice for a wide range of drinking water applications
- Provide premium filtration reduction for applications with high-capacity requirements
- Enhanced dirt-holding capacity
- Manufactured using a powdered activated carbon (PAC), with a specially designed adsorbent media
- Protected by a uniquely formulated polyolefin prefilter wrap, designed to significantly increase the life of the cartridge by trapping sediment that typically plugs carbon block cartridges
- Compatible with all Pentair housings
- Reduce particles down to 0.5 microns
- For use on chlorinated and non-chlorinated drinking water supplies

Warning: Filter turns grey when wet.
Although the distributor and manufacturer claim that it should not happen, the filter turns dark when wet, leading one to assume that sediment has clogged the filter or other impurities have collected. This may not be the case. i took the filter out and when it dried it resumed its white color. We had a similar filter by a different manufacturer that did the same thing analyzed and what we found out is that water pressure pushes the carbon to the outside of the filter, causing the discoloration. We used to have a smaller whole house water system but when the unit failed city code called for this larger filter. Wish we had the smaller one back.
