I'm using a 40-60 pressure switch. Run for an hour and would only build up to 55 psi. Had to drop my switch to 30-50 to make switch cut off. Tank was set at 38psi. I have a water valve after the tank so I can eliminate plumbing to the house. After dropping cut off pressure to 50psi I changed tank to 28psi to compensate for the 30 psi on. My pump is 170 ft down in a 400 ft well. The pump is approximately 100ft in water. I filled a 50 gal drum with water. Pulled the pump back out and put the pump in the drum, turned it on to make sure there were no leaks. Still unable to get 60psi. Before dropping pump back in well, I added an 1 1/4 check valve on the pump. Holds pressure and no leaks. Not happy with this pump because it struggles when trying to go over 55psi.
