We originally installed two of these 2" filters in parallel to filter all water coming on to our hotel property.
Our water is supplied from wells and silicates are a major problem. The filters (100 micron) trap the silicates and save our downstream faucets, shower heads and other plumbing parts from damage. We were spending a couple of thousand dollars per year on pluming repair kits and this expense has now dropped to nearly zero since we installed the filters. The filters are easy to install and maintain.
We have now installed a third filter on a secondary water service entrance (back-up to primary entrance) to give us coverage for that service should it be necessary to use it.
Be careful of the pressure gauges that screw into the top of the filter. These are relatively fragile plastic, in my view, and if you knock one off, the filter is useless until the meter is replaced. These gauges should have been made of brass and should have come with a spare plug in case the user prefers not to mount the gauge.

The product didn't match the replacement parts (screen kit) When I explained this they said that it should work even though it was a physical impossibility. They offered no real help but did take a return. Turns out I found out they had supplied me with a European version of the unit, they didn't help me figure that out but the competitor did.

Gauge wouldn't seal, fittings crumbled and now junk
Waited about 6 months to install in my own home. Gauge leaked from day one- is a BSPP thread where the gauge should have a flange for a sealing washer, but there is none. Gauge body and threads plastic. Replaced with a McMaster gauge which was slightly better and I could hit with sealant, only a few occasional drips(!).
Needed to dismount after 5 years as leaks developed from the threaded connections. On removal BOTH threaded nipples crumbled.
Threaded nipples NLA as replacement parts. Unit is now scrap- and new is now 75% more expensive. Used to be a quality German product, now terrible. Thanks private equity.

This filter is pretty good.
I have been having a horrible problem with sediment from our well so I installed this filter right at the main to our house. It does do a good job using the manual purge but occasionally the filter will need manual cleaning which is very easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. A helpfull hint is to ocassionally shut the supply down and let the homes back pressure purge the system from the inside out. That works great for me.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to the manufacturer, the F76S1031 filter has a pressure drop of 2 psi at 28 GPM. As long as the system can lose a little less than 2 psi across the filter, it should work. Depending on the water quality (i.e. amount of sand) you may want to install the backwash control.
