Device not claibrated
I bought this to replace an existing controller that did not work well. Unfortunately the new device did not work at all - my boiler would not shut off based on pressure.I took the device in to my office to check the calibration on a Fluke calibrator - the "cut-in differential" worked great, but the "cut-out" did not work at all - either the spring was not calibrated or the diaphragm was damaged. Unfortunately for low pressure single pipe steam boiler owners like me - there is no good product on the market that I could find that has a low control range. Ideally a controller with a 0-2 psi range with a time delay between starts would be best - I would like my cut-out pressure to be 0.5 psi with a 15 minute delay between starts.

Verified Reply- PexSupplyStaffA pressuretrol is a control used to control a steam boiler, by setting when the boiler should begin/ end firing based on steam pressure. The pressuretrol is generally secondary to a thermostat.

Not usual, but if it does not sense H/W, and you give it a rap and it cuts in... then replace it. Hard H/W failure..replace it and use PexSupply. Easy install... if your not an accountant!

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffPA4041033 comes with a range of .5 to 9 PSI, it is factory set at 8, range can be set anywhere between .5 and 9. It is up to the technician to determine the optimal setting.
