The RP 241 is the latest tool in the RIDGID Compact Press Tool family. This low-profile design is lightweight and balanced. Features include an ergonomic design for one-handed operation to help you easily work in tight spaces. The RP 241 offers Bluetooth connectivity (connecting the tool to the RIDGID Link app), which allows users to track numbers of cycles, battery information, and much more. The RP 241 is compatible with all RIDGID Compact Series jaws, rings, and actuators and can press up to 1-1/4" on Copper & Stainless Steel; up to 1-1/2" on PEX tubing; and up to 1" Carbon Steel.

I would buy again
I purchased after soldering my boiler manifolds for 30 + years. Used it on one boiler manifold so far and it worked great. No leaks at all and very easy to use. I like all the pipes level, plumb and square. It's a little more difficult to get that with the press but am sure there's a learning curve. I think the time it saves versus soldering should easily pay for the extra fittings costs. I also bought the mega press jaws for 3/4 black pipe to do gas lines.

No it's obsolete
I purchased the Ridgid pro press unit. After I had used it a day I was checked on another Ridgid product being repaired. While talking with the Ridgid company I told them I just purchased an RP241 pro press. They informed me it was obsolete…. And a new model was available. I contacted supply house and was told because I had used it I could not return it. Very very unhappy with that type of response. Sorry just a head when you purchase tools.

I use this press for my copper tubing install and repairs, it is compact and easy to use and can get into tight areas.

Great tool
I use it primarily for condensate drains, zoomlock, and occasionally pex. It's a big time saver.
My only complaint is that the battery is difficult to remove from the tool.
