The Cash Acme SharkBite® EB-45DSB is a half-cartridge based pressure reducing and regulating valve with a bronze body. The valve resembles the traditional regulators with a
spring chamber and an adjusting screw, but offers the performance of a cartridge based valve. The SharkBite® EB-45DSB is assembled using modular construction methods and features SharkBite connections in 1/2" through 1" sizes. Connect the SharkBite® pressure reducing and regulating valve to copper tubing, and CTS CPVC and PEX in seconds with
ease. These valves are supplied by the factory with a standard delivery setting of 45 psi. The outlet pressure can be adjusted from 10-70 psi without changing the spring.
The EB-45 is intended for use where supply line pressure does not exceed 200 psi. This regulator is suited for either cold or hot (to 180°F) water service.

A piece of junk
I put one of these on my home supply line. After 2 days it started to pound whenever the water was running. Sent it back and got another one. Same thing happened again. It pounded when the water ran. I will send it back but will not get another one.

very easy
had a new water line installed after to old steel one crapped out after almost 60yrs. Didnt realize how much pressure were were losing 'til the pressure through the new pex line made taking a shower like getting under a fire hose. Over 100 psi! Didn't want to over stress the rest of plumbing. This slipped right into the line after the meter , no leaks, got it dialed in to about 60 psi now

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe valve can be installed in any orientation. Avoid stressing the valve by ensuring that inlet and outlet pipework are properly supported and aligned.
