Durable heavy gauge, 1/2" copper stub seems slightly large
This tailpiece is a nice heavy gauge, and will probably last me. Huge upgrade from the paper thin brass sold in the big box stores.
I tried to fit a 1/2" copper fitting over the stub for kicks. The stub seemed slightly too large to accept the fitting, so if you are needing to solder on an adapter of some kind you may need to ream out the fitting slightly.
