Perfect solutons for quiet a tick tack baseboard heater
These plastic expansion cradles are used to eliminate the noise when hot water baseboard copper pipe expands. Whenever I turn on my thermostat for heating, the tick tack cracking noise sounds like a monster coming out of the wall and scare the hell out of my kids in the middle of the night. Because the copper pipe expansion rubs against the metal cradles. These plastic cradles eliminate about 95%-99% of the baseboard heat noise in the whole house.

Had what i needed, when i needed it.
These guys had the part i needed and couldn't find anywhere else. Shipping was fast and price was reasonable. Best of all replacing the metal parts with these plastic should make my baseboard heat a little quieter when heating up early in the morning.

Have petite 7 baseboard , these cradles are not exact replacements but will do the trick , originals can only be purchased as a kit for $ 8.35 apiece crazy price , especially seeing where I needed 22 to replace originals that dried out and fell apart. my locacal supply house suggest this site . Love is site fast an cheap even with shipping cost , a win win

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe cradles snap onto the bottom of the fins on the heating element, and sit in between the element and the bracket that holds the cover together.

Q: Would it be possible to get the dimensions of this cradle? I am replacing very old broken ones that measure 2 5/8" (where the 2 1/2" fins sit) by 2 1/8". Thanks! Mike

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe expansion cradle is only a fraction (1/8" maybe) larger than the size of the fins on the outside of element. So it would be slightly larger than 2-5/16" x 2-1/8".
