Baseboard End cap
The end caps provide the finishing touch. I needed this design because I was running baseboard in basement where copper didn't run into the floor so this design with the side holes was just what I needed.

Q: How much length do these add to the baseboard unit? For example if the unit is 8 ft and 1/16th, and i then add an end cap to each side, what will the total length of the basboard be, afterwards?

For all practical purposes, it only adds the width of the sheet metal on the trim piece, less than 1/16”. However, keep in mind that the overall length is really determined by the connecting copper pipe and elbow. In my case, all the piping is from downstairs so the total length of a 2” section is 27” due to the added length created by the pipe elbow that is flush to the inside of the Wall Trim piece. I have had some cases where I had to trim the sheet metal on the Trim, easy to do with a good set of tin snips.
