To install covers, after removing old covers I locate the studs and mark and drill two holes about every stud in the rear part of the cover, I then fasten the cover with sheet rock screws. Then I install the brackets I either slide them from the ends or you can pop them in , I then install the movable flap by sticking the edge that will be at the top underneath the top of the rear cover lining up the grooves in the movable flap with the brackets and then snap it in (this can be tricky) Then install the face plate on the brackets sometimes you'll have straighten the bottom of the bracket to hold the faceplate. Gets easier after the first one. Hope this helps....
Installation is dependant upon the situation. More details of the situation such as, are these replacement covers or a completely new heating installation are needed.
You can cut backing in order to slip around pipes, bend the hangers in tight and slip over element and fasten to wall with screws into studs preferrably. If priduct is too long simply cut to size and hang like above.
Multi/Pak is just the name for this series of baseboard (because they work with multiple elements). Each box only contains a single cover.
Hi there, I don't know why it it's listed that way.It is just one 8ft baseboard heater. Hope that helps.
Qty of 1 cover per box.
No it means it's the White metal cover only, and does not include the heating element.
No, it does not.
Cover only means the heating element (i.e. the fins) are not included. Sent from my iPhone
There is only one cover. You buy an eight foot "Multi/Pak 80D (Cover Only)" get a complete eight foot section of baseboard without the heating element.
There is a cover, back panel and a rotating bar. There are also brackets inside. No end caps, no pipe. One splice is included. Hope this helps. Ilko Dimitrov
Yes, the 80D covers are compatible with H-1, H-3, H-4, H-5X, and H-6X elements without any modifications or extra hardware. Only the H-3 element, however, can be shipped as a complete package with the element and the cover.
Yes, you can run a return line inside the baseboard cover.
Yes, you can run the return line in the baseboard and cover it with the faceplate.
Yes, it is.
There is only one cover per box. "Multi/Pak" is simply the style of the baseboard. See page 4 of this brochure for a detailed sizing diagram: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1282235489579/37346_PROD_FILE.pdf
"Multi/Pak" is simply the name of this baseboard style: each box still only includes one baseboard. The baseboards are made of durable galvanized steel and should be able to withstand an occasional blow.
Each unit comes separately packaged. Yes, they are tough enough for your application, about fifty percent tougher than any original cover I've come across.
One set per package. They are extremely durable if properly installed.
