8910DP definite purpose magnetic contactors are designed for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration applications. This line of definite purpose contactors has current ratings up to 120 amperes resistive and 50 HP at 600 VAC. This two pole definite purpose contactor has a full load rating of 40 ampere and a resistive rating of 50 amperes. It also has a 3 HP at 115 VAC single phase, 7.5 HP at 230 VAC single phase and 10 HP at 230 VAC three phase, 20 HP at 460 VAC three phase and 25 HP at 575 VAC three phase. The nonreplaceable coil is available with a variety of coil voltages. This device has a 24 VAC 50/60 Hz coil. The contactor has straight through wiring. Contactor is 3.75 inches by 2.37 inches and 3.00 tall. These contactors are UL component recognized and CSA certified.

I have one of these on my 4 Ton
Square D are the highest quality Contactors. They are commercial grade and designed to last a long time, and when my 4 Ton AC unit dies I will move this contactor over to my new one or keep it in the garage as a spare. Mine says Made in USA but some of the newer contactors say Made in Mexico and China.

Still works great!
This is a follow-up from my review made July, 14. Three years later I am having no issues with this contactor. As you would expect from Square D, it is pricey but very solid and reliable. Before I bought this I tried a PACKARD - C240A. About 1/4 the price, but after about 3 weeks it started chattering.

Works well
I am using it to replace the contactor on a 3-Ton AC. It works great.
It has well made terminals for #6 or so wires.
Also has male spade terminal for every connection including the 24VAC Coil.
Convenient mounting holes on bottom of contactor.
Hole locations seem to be standard, since I did not need to drill any hew holes.
