Description

Each Kit Contains...
  • SunTouch TapeMat(s) - 2’ wide
  • (1) 2' x 35' Mat
  • SunStat View Programmable Thermostat
  • LoudMouth Installation Monitor
  • Double-sided tape
  • Installation Manual
Allows thin-set or self leveling mortar to flow through the mat and easily bond with the underlying material. This one-step application adds only 1/8" thickness when working on a normal tile installation.
The single power lead construction makes the mat easy to install and simpler to connect to the control. The mat may be cut to fit any shape, because the single wire contains outgoing and returning power.
Walking on a SunTouch radiant floor is like a walk on a sun-soaked beach. The electric radiant heat mats bring warmth to kitchens, bathrooms, commercial or institutional entries and just about anywhere you want warm tile, stone, or laminate flooring. And with nearly 45 different sizes of mats, you can be sure to find the sizes you need for rooms of almost any size or shape.

Good product

Works pretty well. My only complaint would be that the unit only heats right over the area laid.It does not heat adjoining tiles or even to the edge of tiles its under and its a little slow heating. But with a concrete floor its very nice on a cold winter morning!

Yes the mats can be installed under tile in a shower. I am not sure about combining two on a single thermostat.

Electricity in the shower is never a good idea. I would not install inside the shower. If you want heat in the shower use a steam system. You can attach mats to each other in specific ways. You should call the tech support number for Suntouch to determine how your specific application applies to their product. http://suntouch.com/literature/

You can install Suntouch mats beneath carpet, but the mats must be embedded in a cement-based or gypsum-based mortar.

Q: Here in Texas, we don't have many experts in radiant heat flooring. I have 2 questions: 1) is a 220 electrical line required for this flooring, and 2) how does this tubing come- in a U-shape, straight line, or circular? Thanks!

This is a 120-volt kit. It contains an electrical radiant mat, so there is no tubing. The electrical wire comes in one piece that is serpentine.

This unit will draw 1.5 amps. There would be no problem installing this unit in a 100 amp service.

As long as your BTU requirements do not exceed 20 BTUs per square foot, this should be sufficient.

You cannot cut the electrical wire as per the manufacture. Only the mat itself can be cut.
