Description

ProMelt heating wires are built to last. They're made with low-oxygen copper alloy elements covered with high-temperature ETFE insulation and a super-tough polyurethane outer jacket for jobsite extremes. ProMelt mats will save you time. ProMelt cables are priced lower than mats, and may work better for unusual layouts.

Q: Can the system be connected to a electrical switch, or only to sensors?

It is recommended to use a sensor control to prevent excessive electrical usage. If you wish to run the system manually you can use the PM-2C control which functions with a timed stop feature. The control also includes a sensor feature to allow for automatic starting of the system. http://www.supplyhouse.com/Suntouch-300600-ProMelt-PM-2B-Detector-120-208-240V

Q: If you meed to terminate the product before the 32ft run,can you turn it in a 90 degree turn to continue on to another section of sidewalk or cut it off?

According to the manual, If you need to cut and turn the mat, or fill odd areas, you may use scissors to carefully cut the tape holding the heating cables. A minimum bend radius of 1" should be maintained. The cable itself should under no circumstances be shortened.
