Thumbscrew Core Depressor for 1/4" Male Flares

This product DOES NOT work like all my other brands of core depressors. Here is why! When you backout the depressor on every other core depressor that I owe - more than a half dozen, they all SEAL the connection to the side port when the depressor is back all the way out. THIS UNIT DOES NOT SEAL THAT CONNECTION. I will never use this unit since it does NOT act the same way as my others so it could cause me to have issues. I will have to mark this unit so that I know it does not act normally. It looks identical to some of my other units that DO works properly. This is a cheap Chinese knock off that does not even function as it should. I do not know why others rated it as high as they did since they should not have.

This works great, no more refrigerant loss or skin burns.

This is a must have if youre like me and hate getting sprayed by liquid refrigeratiant disconnecting the gauge hoses. Im slow and this makes me not have to worry AT ALL.

Love how easy these are to use

This is a great product if you are using HVAC equipment with 410a. It prevents having refrigerant escaping from your system while connecting or disconnecting manifold hoses, especially on high side. Most important, the turn knob is large and easy to turn (compared to the similar product made to fit in tight spaces that has a very small knob --- I used a pliers to turn it).
