Hi, I suppose these can be installed on the return side of an hydronic system. I had lots of problems with this check valve rusting on me and then not working. I would recommend the brass ones instead which are rated for potable water. These rusted on me withing a year and the brass ones I have had installed about a year and a half and are still working well. Kyle
I always install flo check valves on the header after the air scoop. it makes a more positive system.
We would think that the flow check's weight is stuck and just needs to be adjusted.
