The VT2218 is a temperature sensing, variable speed circulator ideal for Delta-T or setpoint temperature applications. Typical uses include hydronic systems zoned with zone valves, radiant loops, injection pumping, snowmelt or hydro-air fan coils. Can also be used in constant speed mode for zoning with circulators, indirect water heaters or primary boiler loops.
The VT2218 is whisper quiet and has a big, bright LCD screen that's easy on the eyes. Simple push-button navigation lets you set the pump to any one of five modes quickly and easily. But what you can't see is just as important: our innovative Bio Barrier protects the rotor and bearings from system contaminants.
The Viridian VT2218 can slash fuel bills by hundreds of dollars. Its companion, the Zone Sentry zone valve, draws up to 93% less energy, uses fewer components, and can handle up to 12 valves per standard 40 VA transformer. When it comes to zone valves, the Zone Sentry is the smartest decision you can make.

The TACO pump is a great product, cutting edge.
I use the pump in a residential radiant heating system with 7 zones. The pump works great. Previously, I had purchased the pump from another company (SupplyHouse didn't have it in stock) and a year later, I had difficulties with the other company's customer service when I had to send the old pump back. Now, I have ordered the replacement pump from SupplyHouse and my experience with them is great (as always). Yes, I recommend the pump and yes, you should purchase it from SupplyHouse! :)

Great pump for what I needed!
This has been a great energy saver. I have an 800 gallon buffer tank on a hybrid wood/fuel oil system and this pump was exactly what I needed for the distribution loop to a 3600 ft2 building. We just went trough our first round of -40˚ weather here in Alaska and the pump was able to adjust flow rates accordingly. This pump is a much better option than the oversized one speed pump that was in the system prior.

Nice to have both set constant pump speed options, as well as pump speed rate change with temp differences. Should be very helpful in my application.
