Indirect tanks do not actually use any kind of fuel. They simply connect to a hot water boiler (which can be powered by gas, oil, electricity, etc.). Hot water from the boiler flows through a coil or outer tank in the indirect unit. This heats the domestic water without allowing it to come into contact with boiler water.
This water heater does not use either - it's indirect, using hot water from your boiler.
