Series LF100XL Lead Free Temperature and Pressure Relief Valves are used in water heater and hot water storage tank applications to provide automatic temperature and pressure protection to hot water supply tanks and hot water heaters up to 105,000 BTU/hr. They feature a bronze body with NPT male inlet and NPT female outlet connections, unique thermostat with special thermo-bonded coating, and a test lever. Model 100XL-8 is also available with 8 in. (200mm) extension thermostat. Series 100XL is ASME rated and CSA listed.

Watts Products are Good Quality
The T&P valve was exactly what I needed and the shipping time and fulfillment was was excellent BUT the shipping cost was very high. I experienced a similar $90 shipping charge with a Grundfos cartridge replacement. I appreciate the fast 2 day UPS delivery but the shipping costs seem very high.

The temperature-pressure relief valve worked fine in a 22 year old Amtrol indirect water heater. The delivery arrived when expected, despite snow in states along the shipping route, states that seldom experience snow. Thank you@

I would purchase from Supply House again and recommend them
I went to my local hardware to purchase 1" black malleable pipe fittings for two large walk-in clothes closets, but they didn't sell and wouldn't order the cross fittings I needed for the center support. I bought what they had in other fittings needed and started a search for the crosses. I wish I had purchased all the fittings at Supply House instead and will in the future.

Quality valve
I bought this T & P relief valve to replace one on my 80 gallon hot water tank which had begun to leak by (not fully seated). My primary heat is a coal fired boiler, with water reaching about 210 degrees F at maximum. The coal boiler is piped in series with an oil fired boiler as backup heat. My guess is during a bad cold snap, the coal boiler was getting really good natural draft and the water temperature was just high enough to cause the T & P valve on the hot water tank to begin to lift and pee water out. I tried tripping and reseating the valve and tapping on the stem with a dead blow hammer and it reseated almost drip free, but I ordered this Watts T & P valve as a replacement. It is built a bit heavier than the original T & P valve and should hold up better in service. Supply House has a good stock of T & P valves with various set pressures and temperatures, so ordering one for my hot water tank to operated with the hotter water from the coal fired boiler was no problem.
