Great product

Great product. I use this with Watts 1/2" Pex-Al-Pex on Uponor EP manifolds. Just need to ream the PAP like for any other fitting. Pricey but worth it. Nice tight fit. No leaks at all.

multicor compression fittings on pex-al-

Actually used these on the Mr pex brand pex-al-pex. They worked fine. In fact, they work so good, you should NOT do a trial assembly and tighten them up, because once tightened, they are permanently on that piece of pex (I fixed it with a sharkbite splice).

Q: What is R20 thread? and what are its dimensions? What is the diameter of the through hole in the 5/8 fitting? And the diameter of the hole the fitting fits into? Please I need to know and no one seems to want to answer my questions. Thanks Norm

R20 thread is a standard thread size that is used on many manifolds, including the Uponor Tru-Flo manifolds. It does not equate to any standard size (like 1/2" or 3/4"), but is its own unique size. Specific diameters of the holes are not listed, but these fittings are designed to fit with standard PEX-al-PEX sizes (5/8" fitting means it is compatible with 5/8" PEX-al-PEX).

R20 thread seems to be close enough to screw on 3/4 thread just fine. However, if you thought about using this one to connect a European panel radiator and use one of the isolation valves for it (SKU:7738317849 for example), this particular fitting would not seal tight on EK20 (Eurokonus) used on those. The the 0-ring is a tad smaller and does not go in as deeply. Uponor in Europe sells part number 1058090; however, it is probably not possible to find in the USA. I have not tried one of these yet: SKU:2410500. Maybe customer support will figure out the right fitting to use with Uponor MLC pipe and panel radiators. Good luck!

Q: Can these be used to supply potable water from a distribution or valve manifold? If not, can these be used in a home run system to supply water to fixtures not intended to supply drinking water such as dishwashers, baths, and showers? If so, can these fittings be used on the same manifold as is used to supply drinking water, assuming these supply fixtures not intended to supply drinking water and a different solution (say borrowing a press tool) is used to make the connections to appliances designed to supply drinking water?
