Adapters join ViegaPEX or FostaPEX tubing to
PB tubing. Both connections use Viega press

NEED THE TOOL
Good looking product good price. BUT--to use these you do need the VIEGA special crimping tool. The PEX crimping tool will NOT work. I first called I didn't know or get this information. I ordered 10 but only after trying 1 I found out the regular PEX crimp tool will not work. When I called back to ask about it, the sales man said right away, "you need the VIEGA CRIMP TOOL". So I ordered 10 of the correct coupler for PB to PEX that will use the PEX crimp tool I had.. There was NO restock charge.

Q: Does Pex Supply have a tool which can be used to crimp rings on this fitting (3/4" Pex Press X 3/4" PB Adapter) and other Pex tubing, or do I need two different tools, one for Pex and one for the PB side. We have several jobs which need to go from PB to PEX fittings and must have a reliable leak free means of doing this.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffPexSupply does not currently offer rings or tools for polybutylene fittings, although we do offer PEX Press tools. A SharkBite U4016 fitting can do the job without any tools, if you're looking for a different option.
