Q: What kind of thread is it NPT, UNF straight thread or other?

This is a ¾ NPT fitting, one side ‘normal’ right hand pipe thread, the other, left hand. This fitting is used along with a left hand nipple, to work as a union. No unions are permitted in gas joints if concealed in a wall or ceiling. i.e. inaccessible to inspection.
