Installation & Operation Notes:
- Shut off water supply and relieve downstream pressure before servicing the valve
- Follow the specific Watts service instructions for the installed valve model when disassembling the body
- Remove the existing internal assembly, diaphragm, and related parts, then install the new components from the kit in the same orientation
- After reassembly, slowly restore water supply, check for leaks, and adjust outlet pressure within the valve's rated range as needed
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Use the repair kit when outlet pressure drifts out of range, when the valve fails to regulate properly, or when internal wear is observed during inspection
- Periodically check the system for debris that could affect valve performance and clean strainers or upstream protection devices as required

Just what I needed
Replaced this part in my Watts pressure regulator valve. The old part was causing the valve to "fog horn" the water pipes when different toilets were flushed, the washing machine was being used, and more often than not when the gurgle tub was being filled. Gosh awful noise that I'm sure could be heard by the neighbors also and rather embarrassing when we had visitors. I've been swinging the home owner bat since '82 and never had an issue with a pressure regulator valve. A whole new experience for me.
When I figured out the valve was the problem, I was ready to replace the entire valve to correct the issue but discovered this item when I was hopelessly unable to find the valve with 3/4 sweat double unions for a somewhat reasonable price. Tried this on a nervous whim and I'll be danged if it didn't do the job.
Since the water line enters under the house on the opposite side from where the access door is, it literally took me longer to crawl in and out than it did to install the repair kit. Just make sure that ALL the old o-rings are present and accounted for before installing the part with the included new o-rings. I got bit by that one when I couldn't get the new part to seat just like I thought it should.
Supplyhouse had the best price for the repair kit I could find, and the low shipping cost that actually got to Georgia in 2 days was fantastic. I don't run into these type of situations very often but I'll be checking with Supplyhouse in the future if/when something else arises.

I installed it and could not adjust the pressure had to replace the whole valve.

Just buy, Watts Repair Kit Saved My Plumbing!
Just wanted to share a quick success story in case it helps anyone dealing with water pressure issues. I was having serious water chopping problems at home—pressure was stuck at 75–80 psi no matter what I tried. Flushing toilets and showering at the same time? Forget it. Total chaos.
I picked up a repair kit for the Watts LFN45B-M1 pressure regulator valve, and it completely did the trick! The kit came with three different-sized O-rings (all of which were needed), a grease packet, and a fresh screen. The bell housing off PRV was easy to remove, just shut off water, wait for water, and the new components fit right in without a hitch.
I dialed the pressure down to a perfect 50 psi, and now everything runs smoothly. Best part? I didn't have to remove the entire PRV, which would've meant twisting it off and tearing into the sheetrock. Huge relief.
If anyone's on the fence about this kit—highly recommend it. It's a simple fix that made a big difference, and no plumber needed.

Also, there are a number of orings included with this with explanation of where the go. My old one looked brand new on the inside so I think something else was causing my problem.

Perfect part for a most needed repair
I was having issues with high water pressure and my valve reducer was not working left or right. So before getting the part I took the reducer out to find out that the shaft was broken, which confused me when buying this part since I was able to get out just one side of the spare part.
Further exploration showed me that I had the right part from SupplyHouse. .Replacement part was what I needed to get my pressure reducer valve working again. Once I was able to remove all the old pieces of the control, then installing was as easy as pie.
In the process I saved some money and time installing the replacement mechanism and not the whole valve.
