Good Product
Appears to be well built; strong, no casting or machining defects observed. Some plumbers might recommend some pipe nipples, elbow(s), ball or gate style valve, etc... to achieve the same goal. Now think it out, more fittings equal more possible/potential points to leak. Not telling anyone how to bottom plumb their oil tank but, less possible and/or potential points to leak in my book is better. The choice is up to you.
