Description
–
This 3/4 inch lead free double check valve backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the backflow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements. Its compact modular design facilitates easy maintenance with a single access cover for in-line repairs. It is ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications and at cross-connections identified as non-health hazards and for contaminants at the service line entrance. This assembly consists of a lead free body construction, NPT end connections, quarter turn ball valve shutoffs, top mounted test cocks, two in-line independent positive seating check modules, captured springs, and replaceable check discs and seats. The double check valve includes a freeze sensor for use with SentryPlus Alert® technology to signal when ambient temperature approaches the freeze threshold. Activated through an add-on connection kit, the sensor also triggers freeze alerts to facility personnel. Connection kit available for building/irrigation management system (BMS/IMS).

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Lou! The Series LF007 can be mounted horizontally or vertically. However you must check with your local authority having jurisdiction regarding the approval for vertical orientation and any other installation requirements.

Q: Does this valve meet the American Water Works Association Standard C-510 so it can be tested annually to meet EPA backflow prevention requirements for a community water system?

I tried Lowe's & other stores. My O ring was damaged. My back flow meter serviceman keeps in stock O ring for ¾" check valve. I believe he charged me $ 3.50. This is in Charlotte, NC. Charlie Modi

Q: I plan on using this double check valve on a water powered sump pump backup system. Does the insertion of this valve reduce the water pressure? Since the performance depends on the water pressure, I am concerned about reducing the pressure.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to the manufacturer, the Watts 007M1-QT can replace the FEBCO 805Y. They are both Double Check assemblies and both perform the same function. The direct replacement for the FEBCO 805Y is the FEBCO 850.

Q: I'm ready to blow out my sprinkler system. Is there any water that could freeze in the valve during the winter? How do I prevent frozen waterin the valve?
