Bought these type valves for emergencies
I'm not a huge fan of SharkBite valves, that use a rubber O-ring. I like these compression valves, that use a brass ferrule. I bough these mainly for when I need to put a valve in an emergency, or if I cannot fully stop the flow of water to be able to solder.
I find that using a little plumbers grease around the ferrule before before tightening helps to lubricate and prevent chattering & binding, helps the connection to properly tighten.

I would buy this product more if they would change one thing
Not a bad valve, but i have received a few where the compression sleeve seemed to be made a little on the cheaper side(too thin) causing the compression ring to pretty much buckle in on itself, causing it to leak.

3/4 ball valve
used 2 around replaced pressure reducing valve. keep ends of lines square and clean. don't over-tighten. simple, no leak valves.
