Blower Housing Assembly Kit for GV Boilers, 382-200-340

Our 18 yo furnace quit in the winter, luckily someone was home to call repair person. The furnace had tripped on low differential pressure, likely caused by the blower running slowly. Repairman oiled squeaking blower motor, reset internal breaker and it worked again. I bought this replacement unit as a preventative measure to avoid a repeat of the above. I could have bought just a new motor, but thought the blower bushings were likely worn too. Plus this unit came with a new igniter unit, which was a bonus. The blower assembly arrived within two week of placing order. Everything matched existing unit, and instructions were great including exploded-view diagrams. Total time from turning gas and electric OFF and starting job to turning unit back on was ~1.5 hr, using basic tools. Follow instructions and warnings, label lose wires and hoses before disconnecting so you know where to put them back (There were only two of each I had to disconnect, the other electrical wires are keyed wiring harnesses), and be sure to leak check the gas connection after finished (I used soapy water). Unit took two weeks to arrive, so ordering this way may not be an option in an emergency. Good price, easy job to do, saved $$, unit runs much quieter now. Also have a working spare if ever needed.

Ordered unit to replace original blower in my 20 year old unit. switched over gas manifold, installed, fit just fine, but noticed on power-up that the fan wasn't spinning. Wheel wasn't straight, so was binding on housing. Supplyhouse immediately sent replacement, but replacement arrived, also with non-straight blower wheel, but more importantly, the holes to mount the igniter weren't tapped! There are some big quality control issues with this unit!
