SupplyHouse.com Saved Me Thousands — Literally
Last week in Phoenix, temps jumped into the high 90s and I had to run the AC. One of my 3‑ton units suddenly stopped cooling—air handler fan ran nonstop, but the outdoor condenser wouldn't turn on. After basic troubleshooting (thermostat, breakers, contactor test, AHU check), it was clear the control board wasn't sending 24VAC to the condenser.
I called a tech, but the visit turned into a heavy upsell: claims of multiple failing parts, R‑22 scare tactics, and a push for a full system replacement around $30K. Even the "repair option" was quoted at $2.7K+ with no guarantee.
I did my own research and ordered the correct furnace control kit (same manufacturer/model) from SupplyHouse.com, along with a matching condenser fan motor. The module swap was straightforward, and I replaced the contactor and capacitor with spares I keep on hand.
After installation, everything worked perfectly—compressor engaged, condenser running, fan behavior normal, and full cooling restored.
Thanks to SupplyHouse, I fixed the issue myself and avoided a massive, unnecessary replacement. I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely order from them again.

It made do in a pinch...
The board worked fine, how ever, it took a bit of work to get it installed and lined up in place of the original. The board was bigger, so it wouldn't fit on the original mounting bracket, the mounting bracket was much larger and of an opposite orientation of the safety switch as the original, and the bracket could not be mounted in a way to be able to use the door safety switch. Luckily, the furnace is located in a unoccupied space of which no one other than myself and anyone else lighting an occasional pilot on the water heaters goes into. Like the headline said, worked in a pinch. It also did have the best price and availability of any other unit I had found.
