Description

Intelligent intermittent pilot HSI retrofit kit for ICP, Lennox single stage PSC furnaces. Upgrade systems with select SV9500, SV9501, SV9502 electronic intermittent pilot gas valves to standard gas valve with 120V HSI ignition. Complete kit includes new gas valve, control board, combination ignitor, flame sensor.

Missing C harness 0115-0256 on 50I56D-905

Ordered and received an 50156D-905 on April 7th. I sent my tech out to install the unit for a customer. When he opened the box he noticed a wiring harness missing. He called me and I called customer service to let them know about the issue. The person on the phone indicated that they needed proof that the part was missing. She wanted me to take pictures of the shipping label, packing list and all the parts in the box. I told her that the parts are at a customer location and the packing material is at the shop and I didn't know if the original box was thrown away. She indicated that if I did not have all the information that she would not be able to help me. I asked for an email address so I could email the pictures when I gathered all the pictures. She said no. I would have to call back and start again. I called back and sent all the pictures that they asked for and called out the missing harness part number. She indicated that they were going to be sending me another new unit. Then 4 hours later I received an email wanting to identify the missing part again. I called again and went through the same information that I did the first two times. I received the replacement unit on April 9th and it was missing the same part. I called back and explained the issue again and I had to go through the same procedure. I suggested that they should open the item and check to see if all the parts are there before shipping another. He indicated that was not possible. He indicated that they would send out a replacement next day air. The new unit finally showed up on April 15. So 6 days to receive a new item that was supposed to be shipped next day. I am very disappointed in the customer service experience that I received. I have been dealing with suppliers for over 40 years and this one experience was not good. I would suggest that these employees receive some much needed training and customer service etiquette. I will not be using supplyhouse in the future.

forget about smart valves, buy this!

this kit is the only way to deal with those defective smart valves. works perfectly and reliably every time.

A great solution to replace the not smart valve

The Honeywell smart valve has been a piece of crap since it was first introduced. This is an excellent kit that completely replaces it and does want it should. It transforms the system into standard parts that can be replaced and diagnosed easily. Cost-effective, easy to do, easy to support

Not very happy with White Rodgers

I was very unhappy that I had to purchase this entire retro fit kit only to replace the hot surface igniter on a furnace that had the retro fit kit previously installed and a failed ignitor (it's 120 volt so the previous 24volt igniter won't work). They include a sticker with the part number for the 120 Volt ignitor but there is no availability anywhere! I spoke with White Rodger directly and they offered no help only to tell me you have to purchase the whole kit. Would probably be better off sticking with the Honeywell smart valve being you can still buy the 24 volt ignitor!

An upgrade to a previous poorly designed gas valve

I am not an installer so this will not be technical. My furnace was installed in 2004 with the most efficient unit we could buy and was considered to be an engineering breakthrough in furnace management. The design was proprietary so each of the previous 3 gas valves we replaced were of the same design. Finally the 2004 valve design was discontinued from manufacture allowing other companies to provide a retrofit kit which includes a redesigned gas value and circuit board taking the management out of the value and putting it on the board. our retrofit value has been in service for about 2 weeks and we have experience none of the problems of the previous "smart" value design. I would recommend this retrofit for anyone with a "smart" value.
