Digital remote sensors provide more precise, cleaner signals than conventional analog signals. With digital signal, there is no temperature variance due to wire resistance over long distances. Each remote sensor can be place up to 200 feet from the thermostat and still deliver accurate temperature readings. Up to 4 Temperature sensing points (1 integrated in thermostat and 3 remote sensors).

Excellent item
I have a two story house and the upstairs always it too hot or too cold depending on the season. The thermostat is located downstairs and where it is located it very comfortable. Now the bedrooms will be also. Highly recommend using this to make the system operate as you would want it to.

What was needed!
Our 2nd floor thermostat is located such that it is subjected to the 1st floor heat/cold more than the 2nd floor. So at nights lowering the 1st floor, and setting the 2nd floor to expected value was not working at all. With this remote, installed in the kids room in 2nd floor, now we set it and can sleep without worry knowing what exact temperature kids room will be. It works, what was needed!
I like that the E90 thermostat we use it with has 4 different averaging settings between local thermostat sensor and this remote sensor. You can also make the remote sensor the only one, so thermostat local sensor gets turned off.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYes, that is the way this sensor is designed to function. You would only be able to change the setpoint temperature from the thermostat.
