The following screws are designed specifically for use with Quik Trak: http://www.pexsupply.com/Wirsbo-Uponor-E6051250-Quik-Trak-Screws-2500-box-2157000-p . Standard screws can also be used.
The room is 270 square feet. The package covers 250 square feet worth of floor space.
You can either place the carpet directly on top of the Quik Trak, or put down a layer of plywood.
You can use the self-leveler, but you would need to place a cement board between the Quik Trak and the self-leveler. It is not recommended to put cement directly onto the Quik Trak because the moisture could harm the wood.
The manufacturer recommends that you use either 3/8" or 1/2" of durock.
Yes, you can place laminate flooring directly on top of the Quik Trak unless glue is being used to put the laminate flooring down. If glue is being used a piece of plywood has to go in between the trak and the flooring.
You can contact a certified installer to perform a heat loss calculation on your room. Alternatively, you can do it yourself using a guide such as the H-22 heat loss guide by the Hydronics Institute Division of GAMA.
