If ever I have another motor failure, I will certainly do so

York Diamond 80 furnace; 20 years old. Finally, blower motor started overheating regularly -- way too hot to touch. Tried all the usual fixes [new run capacitor, oiled and cleaned out old motor which had moderate front bearing wiggle, thoroughly cleaned a quite messy and hard-to-get-to A-frame evaporator unit above furnace proper -- likely due to electrostatic air filter, which I think was a crock], but no improvement in motor overheating. Ordered this motor -- came in promised 6 days, Sat-Fri [COLD days, but on-time delivery]. Promised my wife 30 minute repair -- done in 20!! Fit exactly, and every wire color-matched perfectly!! Turned it on, and it worked perfectly!!! Now, 3 days into this new motor, no overheating at all.

Perfect match

Easy installation, perfect replacement blower motor for my YORK Diamond 90 furnace. My existing 17 year old blower motor was getting ready to burn out with it cycling on and off every couple of seconds when power was turned on to the fan. It took about an hour to disconnect the old blower motor and install the new one, which works flawlessly. The old motor (for this furnace) had a jumper on the black high speed wire connected to both heat and cooling on the control board (red and blue in park). I was able to easily use the original OEM black jumper wire off of the old motor by cutting off the shrink tubing over the pigtail male/female wire connectors. Connected the old jumper wire to the new motor, insulated the connection with new shrink tube and was good to go.

A perfect match spare motor for my two York Diamond 80 HVAC

Fast delivery, great price and a perfect match for my two York Diamond 80 HVAC systems. Motors do go bad over time and I have changed out two over the 18 years my two systems have been operating. you should have a spare just in case the motor goes bad. also, you should have a spare capacitor and igniter. no sense in chancing freezing or cooking in your home.

Consider Replacing Blower Wheel Also

The new motor I purchased fits and works fine. However, if your looking to replace the blower motor on your York furnace because of a vibration problem (usually due to work out bearings in the motor), you should really consider purchasing and installing a new blower wheel also as the old one will likely have been damaged and thrown off balance by all of the vibration. Changing the run capacitor is also advisable as a new one only costs a few dollars.

Furnace Blower fan motor

I needed a York furnace replacement fan motor . This motor was exact fit and wiring was nearly identical color code . I had no troubles at all with the installation. I use a Metal 2 by 8 stud a foot long to rest the fan housing on as I aligned it with the furnace supports and slid it into place and screwed it down. I had to also buy a 50 dollar tool to force the old fan blade off the old fan shaft inside the housing. .

Simply works

This is actually the second replacement motor for my York P4HUC20N08001A furnace. The one before it, from another vendor, had a wobble in the motor shaft which made the blower wheel vibrate excessively. There has been no issues with this motor from the SupplyHouse.com.
