- Factory-configured lead length and plug connection suitable for the targeted pump model

Compatibility & Applications:
- Intended for use with Zoeller 53-0001 effluent and sump pump configurations that specify part number 004892 in Zoeller literature
- Suitable for residential basement sump pits, effluent basins, and similar light-duty sewage applications within the pump's published limits
- Used when the original float switch fails to start or stop the pump correctly but the pump motor and hydraulics remain serviceable
Installation & Operation Notes:
- Disconnect power to the pump before servicing or replacing the float switch
- Remove the pump from the basin if required, then follow Zoeller instructions for disconnecting the old switch assembly and routing the new cable
- Attach or route the new float switch in the same manner and position as the original to maintain proper pump on/off levels
- Avoid cable kinks, obstructions, or interference with the float travel, and verify that the float moves freely through its full range
- Restore power and test several pump cycles to confirm correct automatic operation before returning the system to normal use
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Inspect the float and cable periodically for debris buildup, abrasion, or damage that could restrict movement or affect switching
- Replace the switch if the pump fails to start or stop automatically, or if intermittent operation is traced to the float or switch leads
- Keep the sump or basin as free as possible from large debris that could interfere with the float travel

They had the best internet price, since this Zoeller 53-0001 switch kit includes all the necessary components for the sump pump switch repair.The UPS shipping costs were very reasonable too. Some businesses seem to inflate the shipping and handling fees, driving up the overall price. My area of Michigan is experiencing high water and flooding. All of my basement sump pumps are running 24/7. I needed this switch ASAP for a backup Zoeller sump pump. I installed the new switch, gasket and mounting hardware in my Zoeller 53-0001 pump-It works great now. SupplyHouse.com has earned my customer loyalty. I have 3 additional Zoeller 53-0001 pumps and several of them need the same switch kit. I plan to reorder this item, once I'm ready to repair my other pumps. Product had defective screw head on switch.

good choice for a replacement switch
replacement is easy and it works. better than purchasing a new pump. went with oem because didnt want to deal with the possibility of an aftermarket failing prematurely. should last at least another 15 years or so, so why try to save a few bucks.
