best sump alarm

This alarm is the best way to passively monitor a sump pump or sump pit. I use them in every sump pit that I maintain on a large property next to a creek. A dependable back up alarm saves lots of money compared to finding failed pumps with flooded basements or crawlspaces.

Effective and affordable insurance!!

Parents installed Zoeller ejector pump from establish 50 year old plumbing company in Omaha when new home was built. 13 years later, by no fault of pump, foreign material caused pump failure and considerable & expensive flooding damage. Same plumbing company replaced pump with same model. This plumbing company is unaware, uniformed, uneducated or this alarm great alarm system that could have alerted and averted substantial property damage. This product is cost effective and the most affordable insurance to save $$$$ in case of pump problems. This alarm system is highly recommended as also is a knowledgeable plumber contractor if available.

I recommend this product

I highly recommend this product for any sewage pump installation. I wish my plumber had installed this with the original installation. It would have prevented a very smelly family Christmas celebration.

you would need to trouble shoot with Zoeller or a technician/installer.

Q: Why does the alarm go off? And what do you do after you stop the alarm from sounding.

This alarm is usually connected to a sewage basin. In case of high level of sewage and just before the sewage overflows and floods the exterior of the basin the alarm is supposed to alert before the flood. You then have to call for help. Now it’s up to you if you want to stop the alarm or have whomever is performing the service take care of the alarm. The important part is to service the basin. That’s why the alarm is installed in the first place.

The alarm goes off when the water level rises too high, indicating that the evacuation pump is not running or there is a blockage. Once the alarm is shut off, the next step would be to determine why the water level rose beyond where it should and either clear any blockage, repair or replace the pump, etc.
