If used, a masonry chimney can ONLY be used as a PIPE CHASE for vent and air pipes — The vent and air piping must be installed as instructed in this manual and all joints must be sealed. The chimney must be used only for Ultra boilers. NO OTHER appliance or fireplace can be connected to the chimney. The chimney must be straight, with no offsets, and the vent and air piping materials must comply with this instruction manual. The chimney must be fitted with a sealed access opening, through which the interior of the chimney can be inspected. The chimney (and liner, if installed) must be inspected at least once annually to verify condition. Failure to comply could result in severe personal injury, death or substantial property damage. That is straight out of the venting section of the install. You may want to take a look at that http://s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Weil%20Mclain%20-%20383-500-723%20-%20Install%20Instructions%20(Venting).pdf We do not have any finance options unfortunately. You would have to pay for the unit in full before we ship it out to you.
you would need to consult an installer and check building codes.
Yes this boiler can do up to 3 zones with its built in controls. A tekmar zoning system can be used if more than 3 zones is needed.
The boiler does not come with a low-water cutoff or condensate neutralization kit, but these can be purchased separately. Outdoor reset technology allows the boiler to save energy by producing lower water temperatures when outdoor temperatures are warmer. Priority refers to its capability to have a zone for an indirect water heater that takes precedence over all the space heating zones.
I'm not sure about outdoor reset. It measures outdoor temperature to determine how hot to make the water. At warmer outdoor temperatures it fires a a lower rate to burn longer and more efficiently. Domestic priority is for homes that have their domestic hot water on a tank off the boiler. If there is high demand for both heat and high demand for hot water, the hot water zone gets the heat first. There is a low water cut off. Condensate just drains out the side. You have to make your own arrangements for collecting it. For the first year I used a coffee can and a 6 year old boy. Now we have a float operated pump. It came with a water treatment kit for the boiler water. Willy Spurr
Yes. Natural Gas. Sent from Lisa's iPhone
Yes Sent from my iPhone
The boiler comes set up for natural gas and can be converted to propane with the supplied kit.
Yes. The Ultra 155 uses natural gas. I believe there are some that use propane so just make sure when ordering that you order natural gas. FYI: I installed mine last year and the electronic menu screen made it well worth it!
This boiler works with most propylene glycol in concentrations up to 50%.
it is better to use an exchanger,wm is very specific about what kind of glycol you can use,if any.
Yes you can use glycol in a boiler. You need to contact the manufacture for the rate per gallon of water. Glycol well also reduce the BTU's that your boiler well produce. So you may want to increase your boiler size.
I do not recall if you can use a glycol mix. Though if you check the site, the entire manual is available. I recommend reading it all the way through, before buying. You'll fell better about installing it if you do.
the expantion tank is seprate, so are any other external parts that you will need to have if your replaceing an entire system.
Yes you do need to buy one Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
yes you do need a expansion tank as for what comes in the box the unit the main water pump and the outside vents and sencers for the unit supply return and outside as well As for the tank I am still having some problem with that as to size
This boiler includes a 0014 boiler circulator. The size of the system circulator depends on the flow rate and head pressure in the system.
Tako 008 for ultra & 0014 for house
Yes, your setup will work just fine.
The boiler will have to be piped primary/secondary. You will have a primary (boiler) circulator and a secondary (system) circulator. The boiler comes with the primary circulator. You will need a secondary circulator.
